Professional Background
Bowles Eagle has conducted research at Human Rights Film Festivals and media activist training workshops around the world (including the UK, India, Argentina, Burkina Faso, Czech Republic, New York, and Netherlands). She is currently completing a book project on a global network of human rights film festivals. She also has a second in-progress book project on documentary film and childhood. She runs a program on the CSU Dominguez Hills Campus called “Hollywood by the Horns” with the mission to make meaningful connections between CSUDH students and professionals working in Hollywood, as well as to help the CSUDH Toros to hone their creative, diverse voices so that they can make important changes in the entertainment industries. Before obtaining her Ph.D. she also worked in independent documentary film production.
