Dalia Cornejo once thought she should be practical and pursue a career such as teaching. She even had a role model. As a teenager, she admired an uncle for being the only one of 11 siblings to earn a college degree and for becoming a professor. In April, the California State University announced the establishment of the CSU “Campus as a Living Lab” grant program to fund innovative classroom sustainability projects that merge academics and facilities management to provide students with high impact, hands-on learning.
