Professional Background

Dr. Dellacioppa has been teaching at CSU Dominguez Hills since 2003. Her scholarship focuses on the intersection of social movements, political culture, and globalization. She has written and published several articles in peer-reviewed and scholarly journals such as Latino Studies and Social Justice. Her books include This Bridge Called Zapatismo (Lexington Books, 2009) and Cultural Politics and Resistance in the 21st Century (Palgrave MacMillan, 2011).

Currently, Dellacioppa is conducting a historical research project about political repression in the United States during the 1960s and 1970s, focusing on a ACLU lawsuit against the Los Angeles Police Department (CAPA v. Gates) regarding the infiltration and monitoring of 140 community organizations in the Los Angeles area.

International Experience

Dr. Dellacioppa did two years of field work in Mexico City.
