Professional Background
Dr. Gordon has been an educator for 38 years, including 10 years as an elementary school teacher and 28 years as a faculty member in Teacher Education at CSUDH. His expertise is in multicultural education, effective instructional models, particularly the Dowa and Minzokugakkyu models used in Japan, urban school reform and pre-service teacher preparation. He recently contributed to the textbook Rethinking Field Experiences in Preservice Teacher Preparation (Routledge, 2015).
