CSU Dominguez Hills Partners with Zipcar to Offer Car Sharing on Campus
California State University (CSU), Dominguez Hills launched a new partnership with Zipcar, the world's leading car sharing network, to offer a Zipcar car sharing program on campus. The transportation option is now available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for students, faculty, and staff ages 18 and older, as well as members of the local community ages 21 and over. CSU Dominguez Hills will initially offer two vehicles, a Ford Focus and a Toyota Prius. When considering how they affect people's sleep, the answer is no, according to Larry Rosen, professor of psychology at California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH). Rosen and fellow CSUDH psychology professor Mark Carrier, along with three graduate students, surveyed more than 700 college students to study and determine how the use, and misuse, of technology affects the amount and quality of sleep they get each day.
