Matt Mutchler, associate professor of sociology and director of the Urban Community Research Center (UCRC) at California State University, Dominguez Hills, has been awarded a nearly $400,000 grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) to conduct a three-year groundbreaking study exploring how young gay and bi-sexual black men talk about sexual health with their friends. Dora Baldwin: On the Fast Track to Success
Dora Baldwin, 22, has a running start on her future. A star track and field athlete at California State University, Dominguez Hills, she received the 2011-12 Dr. Richard Butwell Award in recognition for her athletic contributions, and for her academic excellence the senior business administration major recently received the 2012 Presidential Outstanding Student Award. Commencement 2012: Graduates Reach Their Goal But Not Their Limits
A record 3,100 students received their diplomas during the 2012 California State University, Dominguez Hills Commencement May 18 and 19 at the Home Depot Center Tennis Stadium. It was the first time in several years the ceremonies spanned two days, with this year's exercises split into five college-based ceremonies.
