CSUDH students seeking careers in public service will now have more opportunities for professional development and skill-building thanks to the Pathways to Public Service Program (PTPS), an initiative from U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology. First Annual Toro Giving Day Brings in Record Number of New Donors
CSUDH’s first Toro Giving Day was a huge success, far exceeding the target number of donations and raising thousands of dollars to support key programs across campus. The event, held March 20, was a one-day fundraising blitz, intended to give the Toro community an opportunity to channel their support for CSUDH in a singular fashion, by banding together and donating all at once. The initial goal for the day was 300 individual donors, which would unlock a $20,000 challenge donation from the board of directors of the CSUDH Philanthropic Foundation. Cal State Dominguez Hills kicked off two days of commencement ceremonies, which will see thousands of students graduate, on Friday morning, May 17, with the colleges of Education, and Arts and Humanities. The first of two commencement ceremonies for the College of Natural and Behavioral Sciences took place Friday afternoon. An evening graduation honored those from that college, and the College of Health, Human Services and Nursing.
