CSUDH receives $260,000 NEH Grant to Continue Work Digitalizing Japanese-American History
California State University, Dominguez Hills' (CSUDH) Archives and Special Collections Department has received $260,000 from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) to continue its work digitalizing artifacts that detail life for Japanese Americans held in internment camps during World War II, and daily life during the first half of the 20th Century. Shell Pipeline Company LP, with a regional office in Carson, has donated $25,000 to California State University, Dominguez Hills to support a number of activities on campus this semester. Alan Caldwell, communications manager at Shell Pipeline, presented the check last month during the annual Faculty Awards reception. “Shell's support of these activities is a testament to their commitment to the CSU Dominguez Hills community and to higher education,” said Greg Saks, vice president of University Advancement.
