Shell Pipeline Company LP, with a regional office in Carson, has donated $25,000 to California State University, Dominguez Hills to support a number of activities on campus this semester. Alan Caldwell, communications manager at Shell Pipeline, presented the check last month during the annual Faculty Awards reception. “Shell's support of these activities is a testament to their commitment to the CSU Dominguez Hills community and to higher education,” said Greg Saks, vice president of University Advancement. University President Visits Middle East to Discuss Higher Education as Part of Fulbright Program
California State University, Dominguez Hills President Mildred García was one of seven university and community college presidents and vice presidents from the United States selected to participate in a first-time project of the Fulbright-Hays Seminars Abroad Program focused on higher education in the U.S. and the Arab world. The Model United Nations (MUN) class at California State University, Dominguez Hills won top honors at the regional Model United Nations Conference, held at Santa Barbara City College from March 31 to Apr. 2.
