Klarissa Garcia is a Toro through and through. She not only serves as department operations specialist for the CSUDH Police Department (DHPD), but is a Dominguez Hills alumna, having graduated with a BS in criminal justice in 2008. “I've been a Toro since 2003!” she says proudly. University Police Receive State Grant to Upgrade Radio Communications
The California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) University Police Department has received an $84,706 grant from Cal OES' School Communications Interoperability Grant Program (SCIGP) to upgrade its handheld radios and enable communications with responding L.A County Sheriff's Department (LASD) units during a campus emergency. SCIGP grants provide funding for campuses in the California State University and California Community College systems to acquire interoperable communications technology compatible with modern and future systems.
