It's the Seventh Annual CSU Dominguez Hills Student Research Day. Can you name any nation that has sealed its bond with another nation by successfully sharing ideals, especially freedom, liberty, democracy and prosperity? Such was a question that the Honorable Yeon-sung Shin, consul general of the Republic of Korea in Los Angeles, posed to an audience of more than 100 students, faculty, and staff on Feb. 8 in Loker Student Union. Answering the rhetorical question, Shin shared an overview of the evolving relationship between the U.S. and Republic of Korea (South Korea), beginning with the Korean War more than six decades ago. On Monday, Feb. 13, the California African American Political and Economic Institute (CAAPEI) at California State University, Dominguez Hills presents “Building Economically Sustainable Communities through Small Business Development,” a lecture by Aubry L. Stone, president/CEO of the California Black Chamber of Commerce and director of the California Black Chamber Foundation. University Celebrates Faculty and Staff Authors at Special Reception
California State University, Dominguez Hills President Mildred García lauded literary and creative works by 53 resident faculty and staff authors who have published books or other media since 2008 during a reception in the University Bookstore on Thursday, Feb. 2.
