Ty Herring never imagined that as a college student he would get a glimpse behind the curtain at the NFL’s West Coast headquarters in Inglewood. But for two weeks in June, he worked side by side with the creative team that packages game footage and graphics for the NFL Insider television program. “You walk into this incredible atmosphere,” says Herring, recalling the moment he arrived at the headquarters. “Highlight clips are playing on all the TV monitors, and team branding is hanging everywhere. Emanuel Prince stood behind a throng of other college students and watched intently as two FBI agents behind a booth marked “Evidence Response Team” demonstrated how to test fabric for traces of blood. Prince, a senior sociology major and Presidential Scholar at CSUDH, was one of a couple hundred students from 11 CSU and UC campuses across Southern California who were invited to learn about potential career paths at the FBI. CSUDH Partners with Japanese Consulate on New Job Training Program
CSUDH students will have a new way to get a foot in the door of international industry leaders, with the introduction of the university's new Japan Job Training (JJT) program. The university will partner with the Japanese Consulate and prominent Japanese and local businesses to create the JJT program on campus. Working with the administration and faculty to help make the university as energy efficient and environmentally aware as possible, while guiding student interns as sustainability leaders among their peers, California State University, Dominguez Hills' (CSUDH) new Office of Sustainability is dedicated to re-casting the university's ecological footprint into a smaller mold.
