Source: Daily Breeze Cal State Dominguez Hills celebrated the grand opening this week of an esports facility, which university officials said is “a staple strategy to benefit enrollment, retention, recruitment, and career readiness.” The Toro Esports Academy is on the second floor of the Leo F. Cain University Library. It will serve the entire university community by providing a classroom, an arena and an incubator for students, university officials said in a recent press release. CSUDH Receives $5.3 Million to Address Digital Divide in the South Bay
The CSUDH Workforce Integration Network (WIN) has been awarded $5.3 million through the National Telecommunication and Information Administration's Connecting Minority Communities Pilot Program (CMC). The funds will support “Closing the Digital Divide with CSUDH-WIN,” an innovative outreach effort which connects CSUDH students with partnering organizations to provide training, equipment, and technology resources to members of the community. CSUDH is one of only 19 institutions awarded CMC grants to date, and one of only three in Southern California.
