Shell Pipeline Company LP, with a regional office in Carson, has donated $25,000 to California State University, Dominguez Hills to support a number of activities on campus this semester. Alan Caldwell, communications manager at Shell Pipeline, presented the check last month during the annual Faculty Awards reception. “Shell's support of these activities is a testament to their commitment to the CSU Dominguez Hills community and to higher education,” said Greg Saks, vice president of University Advancement. Dr. Terrence Roberts, whose attempts to enroll in an all-white school in segregated Little Rock, Ark., with eight other African American students sparked controversy and debate nationwide in 1957, will give a guest lecture on Thursday, April 28, at California State University, Dominguez Hills.
