(Carson, CA) – California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) will serve as a Los Angeles County Vote Center in the state’s Presidential Primary Election, starting Saturday, Feb. 29 through Tuesday, March 3. The Vote Center will be located in the university’s Extended Education Auditorium (EE-1213).
CSU Dominguez Hills Vote Center Days and Hours: Saturday, Feb. 29: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m; Sunday, March 1: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Monday, March 2: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; (Election Day) – Tuesday, March 3: 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Parking: Lot 3. Additional parking will be available.
Vote by Mail: Now through Monday, March 3, L.A. County registered voters who vote by mail can drop off their ballots in a secured ballot box at the book check-out desk in the CSUDH University Library during operational hours. Each night, after the library has closed, the secured and locked ballot box will be picked up by the L.A. County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk’s staff. California’s March 2020 primary and general election will be the first time voters in Los Angeles County will be able to cast their ballots throughout an extended voting period at any of the new Vote Centers located across the county. The change replaces single-day polling places in compliance with the California Voters Choice Act of 2016.
CSUDH’s Vote Center will feature Los Angeles County’s new voting technology that enables residents to vote using accessible devices that combine touchscreen tablets with paper ballots, and to choose from multiple languages, change text size, and use an audio headset.
