The CSUDH Alumni Advisory Council added a new member of the Toro family to their ranks during the summer of 2025. Proud CSUDH graduate Hersson Preciado answered the call and will now be helping advise the university and mentor current students.
Comprised of successful graduates who choose to devote their time to giving back to the university, the Alumni Advisory Council draws on its members’ experience and leadership to help guide and inspire current students to achieve their goals, while also helping advance the mission of the university.
Preciado graduated from CSUDH in 2010, earning a BA in communications with a minor in marketing. During his time on campus, Preciado was actively involved in student organizations, serving as the Corporate Director for the Latino Student Business Association as well as Vice President for the United Latino Student Association.
A seasoned media marketing professional with more than 16 years of experience, Preciado serves as the Head of Branded Content for Entravision Communications, the largest affiliate group of the Univision and UniMás television networks. There, he leads creative and social media teams to develop integrated marketing campaigns and content strategies that drive brand growth across digital, audio, and traditional media.
Preciado lives in Norwalk, Calif., with his wife of nine years. He sums up his interest in joining the Alumni Council by saying, “Together we can accomplish more—and together with the right people we can do anything. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to help current Toro students and the university in ways that will leave the school better off year after year.”
