(Carson, CA) – California State University, Dominguez Hills’ (CSUDH) Department of Theatre and Dance will premiere the virtual spring dance concert “Translucent” on Friday, May 15 at 7 p.m., with direction from Amy Michele Allen, assistant professor of dance.

“Translucent” is a visual showcase of choreography on film created by and featuring CSUDH dance students Rodrigo Bastidas Berropsi, Lesley Bautista, Kai Crowe, Miledid Delgado, Sian Greene, Brenae Howard, Eric Ixta, Hannah Mercado, Dixie Ramirez, Asia Santos, Heather Stell, and Angela Zambrano.
Through the camera lens, each choreographer conveys a personal experience through a variety of dance styles ranging from tap to hip-hop, to contemporary and belly dance. Originally intended as a stage production, “Translucent” will showcase the passion, persistence, and innovation of dancers when faced with unexpected adversity.
