In recognition of Black History Month, and the racial wealth gap experienced by many CSUDH students, the Rose Black Resource Center has partnered up with the Loker Student Union (LSU) to host weekly courses on Instagram Live titled “Social Justice Wednesdays: Make Dollars with Your Sense.”
Taught by experts to provide students practical financial advice, the virtual discussions will take place on the LSU’s Instagram account each Wednesday in February from noon to 12:45 p.m.
Developed with the understanding that financial literacy is a social justice issue, the virtual discussions will feature such topics as spending and saving money, credit card frugality, and entrepreneurship – all designed to help students achieve financial stability.
Each course will end with Q&A session for students to ask questions related to the financial experts’ areas of experience. Participants will also have the opportunity to win VISA gift cards.
