Forty-five California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) students along with 15 faculty, staff and administrators were part of the Inaugural CSUDH Women's Retreat: Dig Deep and Blossom that was held on Friday, March 21 through Sunday, March 23 at the American Jewish University. Aimed to inspire, connect, provide resources and build a sisterhood on campus, the retreat included activities focused on teambuilding, reflection, empowerment circles, and community building. Dr. Willie J. Hagan will be formally installed as the 10th president of California State University, Dominguez Hills during an investiture ceremony on Friday, May 2, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. on the North Lawn of campus. Native American culture will be celebrated on Saturday, April 19 and Sunday, April 20 at the fourth annual California State University, Dominguez Hills Pow Wow: Honoring the Indigenous Peoples of the Americas. A social and sacred gathering, the pow wow is an educational as well as cultural event that brings Native American Nations from across the country together in celebration. Disabled Student Services Rolls Out Red Carpet to Celebrate its 40th Anniversary
The Office of Disabled Student Services (DSS) will be hosting a celebration in the Loker Student Union Ballroom on Wed., April 16, from 3 to 5 p.m. in honor of their 40 years of service on the California State University, Dominguez Hills campus. In addition to celebrating the 40th anniversary of DSS, the event will also recognize the students with disabilities graduating in May and professors who have been nominated by DSS students for being outstanding professors.
