Science Fiction Author David Gerrold to Deliver Annual Pat Eliet Memorial Lecture
The Department of English at California State University, Dominguez Hills will host the annual Patricia Eliet Memorial Lecture featuring science fiction author David Gerrold as the guest speaker, on Tuesday, April 8, at 7 p.m. in the Loker Student Union Ballroom. The lecture is free and open to the public. Gerrold's prolific output includes stage shows, teleplays, film scripts, educational films, computer software, comic books, more than 50 novels and anthologies, and hundreds of articles, columns, and short stories. Computer Science Receives IEEE Computer Society Regional Outstanding Small Student Branch Award
The California State University, Dominguez Hills student branch chapter of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Computer Society has been awarded the 2014 IEEE Region 6 Outstanding Small Student Branch Award. The award was presented at a ceremony in San Jose on Feb. 1. “This is a great achievement for our students,” said Computer Science Department Chair Moshen Beheshti. “It shows how active our students have been.
