Fynnwin Prager, assitant professor of Public Administration at California State University, Dominguez Hills and co-author of the study “Total Economic Consequences of an Influenza Outbreak,” was interviewed on the CNBC Nightly Business Report to discuss the potential economic consequences of the 2017-18 influenza outbreak, the worst epidemic since the H1N1 flu virus emerged in 2009. The H1N1 flu pandemic caused more than 12,000 deaths in the United States alone.
