STEM in Education Conference – June 7

STEMinEDlogo_400pxCalifornia State University, Dominguez Hills will host its second STEM in Education Conference for science, technology, engineering and math educators at all levels from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 7 in the Loker Student Union Ballroom on campus.

Hosted by several of the university’s grant-funded teacher preparation program—Math and Science Teaching Initiative, Noyce Scholars Program, Transition to Teaching, Transition to Teaching Online, Urban Teacher Residency program, and Master Teachers Fellow–the 2014 STEM in Education Conference will highlight innovative strategies and best practices for STEM educators. More than 300 educators from across the state of California are expected to attend.

With the theme “Innovating Teaching and Learning: The STEM Approach,” the day will include workshops on innovative techniques in STEM education presented by expert faculty from CSU campuses, community colleges, and K-12 STEM educators.
