Commencement is back at CSUDH! Although socially distanced and in fewer numbers than a typical year, the Toro Nation will come together for the first time after more than a year of virtual education to celebrate both the Class of 2020 and the Class of 2021 during in-person Commencement ceremonies May 24-26. Seven ceremonies in total will take place in the Tennis Stadium at Dignity Health Sports Park over the three days. With restricted stadium seating, students will sit in the stands this year with their two guests, instead of on the stadium floor. California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) has been ranked 10th in the CollegeNET, Inc., 2020 Social Mobility Index (SMI), a significant advancement from last year's ranking of 20th in this annual assessment of institutions or higher education across the nation. CollegeNET used data-driven analysis to rank 1,449 four-year colleges and universities according to how effectively they enroll students from low-income backgrounds, and graduate them into well-paying jobs. Virtual Graduation Celebration Honors Toro Class of 2020
The COVID-19 pandemic may have postponed commencement ceremonies for the Class of 2020, but California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) still found a way to celebrate its graduates with a week-long Virtual Graduation Celebration. Given the task of quickly creating a series of online and virtual events to celebrate Toro grads, several departments teamed up and got to work.
