CSU Trustees Appoint Mildred García as President of Cal State Fullerton
News Release from the CSU Office of the Chancellor The California State University Board of Trustees today named Mildred García, president of California State University, Dominguez Hills, as president of California State University, Fullerton, effective after June 1. Chancellor’s Doctoral Incentive Program Grows Diverse Faculty for the CSU
Jose Prado, Susan Nakaoka and Janice Filer all have something in common, and it's not that they all work on the campus of California State University, Dominguez Hills. Prado, Nakaoka and Filer are just a few of the educators at CSU Dominguez Hills who have taken advantage of the Chancellor's Doctoral Incentive Program (CSU CDIP), which encourages university lecturers and graduate students to pursue their doctorate degrees in order to better teach a diverse student population. The Rosalinde and Arthur Gilbert Foundation to Help CSU Dominguez Hills Bridge Math Proficiency Divide
The Rosalinde and Arthur Gilbert Foundation has awarded California State University, Dominguez Hills a $250,000 grant allocated over two years to expand its summer and first year developmental math program to include all incoming freshmen who require additional math courses to bring them to college-level proficiency. Lack of true college-readiness in math in the critical first year of his or her university experience has been shown to have negative implications on a student's ability to continue their college education, especially for students who come from low-income areas and are often the first in their families to attend college. CSU Dominguez Hills Names New Provost
After an extensive nationwide search, California State University, Dominguez Hills President Mildred García has announced the selection of Ramon Torrecilha as the university's provost and vice president for academic affairs.
