Representatives from more than 60 companies from various industries accepted résumés from job seekers and provided information about internships, and part- and full-time career positions at the California State University, Dominguez Hills Spring Job and Internship Fair held on March 20, in the Loker Student Union Ballroom. Many of the representatives talking to students and taking their résumés shared something in common with them–their alma mater. University Social Work Exchange Connects Students Internationally
Twice a month, Master of Social Work (MSW) students at California State University, Dominguez Hills are sharing the best practices they have learned in the classroom and in the field with counterparts at Kingston University in London, England. But the students aren't traveling across the pond to do so. They are connecting from the comfort of their respective campuses at hour-long virtual meetings using Skype, the voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) conferencing service. University Students Provide Preschoolers a Jumpstart on Education
Curious, giggling 3- to 5-year-olds joined hands for a snake dance, touched eagle feathers and fur, and listened in awe to tales told by an American Indian in full regalia. Others had their first-ever romp in the snow. These types of enrichment experiences are part of a broader set of learning opportunities offered to children at three Compton preschools through the Jumpstart program at California State University, Dominguez Hills.
