(Carson, CA) “2018 Art and Design Faculty Exhibition,” featuring work by 12 members of the California State University, Dominguez Hills Art and Design Department, runs Sept. 17 through Oct. 10.
An opening reception for the artists will take place on Monday, Sept. 17, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Admission is free. The gallery is open Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Investigating a range of subject matters and approaches to artmaking, the exhibition demonstrates the span of the media and materials used by these teaching artists in their personal practices.
The exhibition includes work by Michele Bury, Daniela Campins Cambra, Jim Keville, Vladimir Goryachev, Gilah Hirsch, Greg Mocilnikar, Ruby Osorio, David Parsons, Jimena Sarno, Bonita R. Tanaka, Devon Tsuno, and Ellie Zenhari.
Through the run of the exhibition, artist Jim Keville will work in the gallery extending his existing process creating an urban skyline using interlocking plastic blocks commonly called Legos.
The CSUDH University Art Gallery is in A-107 on the first floor of the LaCorte Hall building on the west side of campus off Toro Center Drive/Tamcliff Street. CSUDH is located at 1000 E. Victoria Street in Carson.
Visitor parking in campus lots is permitted with a valid parking pass, which is sold for $8 at yellow dispensing machines at the front of each campus lot.
