Former CSUDH president Donald R. Gerth passed away on December 6, 2021, at the age of 93. He was one of the most important figures in the success and growth of the CSU system, serving within it from 1958 until his retirement in 2003. “Few individuals are as inextricably tied to the CSU - and have so wonderfully lived out the university's highest ideals - as Donald R. New Murals Adorn Innovation & Instruction Building
The Innovation and Instruction Building is a striking new structure on the CSUDH campus, but the visual appeal isn't just in its architecture. Inside, Toros are greeted by a series of eye-catching murals created by Los Angeles artist Mark Steven Greenfield. The eight murals adorn walls throughout the building, adding a vibrant and meaningful touch to its interior spaces. CSUDH Alum Donates Historic Gift
With a $700,000 donation to CSUDH, Doug Le Bon made university history for donating the largest gift to CSUDH from a living alum. Le Bon, who earned two business degrees from CSUDH, a BS in Business Administration (1976) and an MBA (1979), is the co-founder and senior managing director of Pathway Capital Management, one of world's most successful private markets investment firms, managing over $85 billion in assets. CSUDH Receives Millions in Federal Department of Education Grants
Several impactful campus programs got a major boost recently, as California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) was awarded four grants from the U.S. Department of Education (DOE). Together, the grants will provide millions of dollars in support for a host of innovative programs. GEAR UP Two of the DOE grants are for the GEAR UP program, which allows CSUDH to partner with local school districts, providing and supporting student success services at underserved middle and high schools. The new grants will allow CSUDH to partner with Compton Unified and Hawthorne Unified school districts. President Parham Honored as 100 Black Men of Los Angeles’ Man of the Year
For his leadership and advocacy, California State University, Dominguez Hills President Thomas A. Parham will be recognized as the 100 Black Men of Los Angeles' Man of the Year at their 40th annual gala, which will take place virtually on Oct. 23.
