With Passage of Proposition 30, CSU to Roll Back Tuition
News Release from the CSU Office of the Chancellor The California State University will avoid a $250 million mid-year budget cut after voters' approval of Proposition 30, and will start the process of rescinding the $249 per semester tuition fee increase already in place. With the passage of Proposition 30, CSU's budget will essentially remain flat for the remainder of this fiscal year, but state funding is still approximately $1 billion less than several years ago. Student Kris Hale on Her Time in Thailand
Kris Hale is currently doing a summer study abroad in Thailand, which was coordinated through the university's International Education Center. She provides her thoughts on her trip so far: When I made the decision to travel abroad I made two promises to myself: 1) I would have an open heart and an open mind. 2) I would leave "America" in America and accept that I was not at home and learn to appreciate, accept, and cope with the differences in culture.
