The California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) Esports Association prides itself on being about more than just competition. They proved that once again during a first-of-its-kind Esports Summer S.T.E.A.M. Camp in June and July. Association members served as mentors during the four-week event, held in partnership with Compton Unified School District, sharing their skills and knowledge with a group of 24 high school students. (Carson, CA) - California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) signed a historic agreement with the Mayme A. Clayton Library and Museum (MCLM) board of directors to house the Mayme A. Clayton Collection of African American History and Culture on campus in the Gerth Archives and Special Collections. The university intends to begin immediately cataloguing and archiving the collection so that it is more visible and accessible to the public. Incoming freshmen and transfer students at the California State University campus will first go through an online registration via Zoom. President Parham Announces Formation of Racial Reconciliation Task Force
In light of the ongoing protests and resulting nationwide conversations about racism in America, CSUDH President Thomas A. Parham announced the formation of a Racial Reconciliation Task Force in an email to the campus community. The passage and ratification of the 19th Amendment in 1920 ended a nearly century-long battle for the right for women to vote.
