California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) has been awarded a $1,294,133 grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF) to develop faculty learning communities that will support STEM faculty to explore and implement equity-minded, evidence-based teaching and leadership practices that are rooted in the science of learning. CSU Dominguez Hills celebrates 60 years, new building
Walking across the Cal State Dominguez Hills campus, it's obvious that change is underway. The university recently completed construction on a new science center. The construction of two more projects, the Innovation and Instruction Building as well as a new student housing facility, is still in progress. “There's a lot of excitement and transformation going on here on campus,” CSUDH President Thomas Parham said in a recent interview. Women in STEM Career Day Draws Hundreds of High School Students
Nearly 500 female high school students visited California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) on Feb. 21 to learn about the numerous opportunities waiting for them in the STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) workforce during Women in STEM Career Day 2020. The event was hosted by EXP, a nonprofit organization that helps schools in the Southern California region deliver innovative, career-based curriculum. A long-standing partner with CSUDH, EXP has hosted its annual GPS Your Future STEM career fair on campus for a number of years, and each year CSUDH participates in EXP's internship program for local high school students.
