Mutchler a three-year $656,000 grant to create a support program that addresses the disproportionate rate of new HIV infections among young African American men, and help improve their overall health and well-being. Tommy Irvine Jazz Collection in CSUDH’s Gerth Archives and Special Collections
The Tommy Irvine Jazz Collection, an eclectic assortment of rare jazz albums, featuring some of the genre's greatest artists and recordings, has been placed on loan in the Donald R. and Beverly J. Gerth Archives and Special Collections at California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH). The collection was provided to CSUDH by the Irvine family in December 2018. It features 444 records in 76 albums, including such legendary jazz musicians as George Shearing, Nat King Cole, Erroll Garner, Billie Holiday, Sarah Vaughan, and Lester Young. (Carson, CA) - The California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) Gerth Archives and Special Collections has acquired the vast Holt Labor Library - along with a donation of $200,000 to catalog and maintain the artifacts from the library's founder, Apple Inc.'s fifth employee, Rod Holt.
