Campus Reduces Energy Grid Dependency with Artificial Intelligence
A new energy storage system on the California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) campus is reducing the university's impact on the local power grid and making the campus more sustainable. Associate Professor of History Bianca Murillo's first book, “Market Encounters: Consumer Cultures in Twentieth Century Ghana” (Ohio University Press, 2017), provides an expansive perspective of global capitalism that examines how race, gender, and power are created through commercial networks, and offers a radical rethinking of how economies and markets function. Thomas Parham Appointed CSUDH President
The board of trustees of the 23-campus California State University System has chosen Thomas Parham as president of California State University, Dominguez Hills. Dr. Parham will take office in June as the eighth permanent president of the university. California State University, Dominguez Hills, located in Carson between Los Angeles and Long Beach, enrolls nearly 13,000 undergraduate students and more than 2,000 graduate students.
