To help dismantle systemic racism, white people need to first acknowledge that it exists–and how they personally benefit from it. That was the central argument delivered by Robin DiAngelo to an audience of CSUDH students, faculty, staff, and community members at the University Theatre on February 1. New Student Success Centers Open Their Doors
Students looking for academic advising or other support now have a new place to go on campus–five new places, in fact. Nnamdi Okafor, executive director of strategic engagement and resource acquisition for CSUDH's Office of the President, wakes up each morning inspired by the joy he gets from his work. Although he's only been at CSUDH about two years, Okafor has been working in various philanthropic endeavors since his days attending CSU Fullerton. He continues to get a charge out of helping others each and every day.
