Dymally Institute Presents Anti-Racism Webinar

Eddie Glaude Jr., a New York Times bestselling author and NBC “Meet the Press” political commentator, will be the Dymally Distinguished Speaker during its Black History Month Anti-racism webinar “White People Only (and other practitioners of unconscious race bias): An Anti-Racism Workshop for Racial Reconciliation,” on Wednesday, Feb. 17, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The webinar will be hosted on Zoom by the Mervyn M. CSUDH wins $100,000 Getty Research Grant for PST Initiative

(Carson, CA) – California State University, Dominguez Hills’ (CSUDH) University Art Gallery has been awarded a $100,000 grant from the Getty Foundation. The funds will be used to conduct research related to the gallery's contribution to the next Pacific Standard Time initiative in 2024, which this time focuses on the relationship between art and science. Entitled “Brackish Waters Los Angeles,” the CSUDH project will revolve around the concept of brackish water sites, areas where fresh and ocean water intermix. When Women Lead and the Transformation of the CSU Presidency

Since 2018, the majority of the campus presidents in the California State University (CSU) system have been women. On Dec. 15, the California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) "Women's Leadership Workshops" series hosted a virtual event featuring three of these dynamic leaders: Cal Poly Pomona President Soraya Coley; CSU Long Beach President Jane C. Conoley; and Stanislaus State President Ellen Junn. CSUDH Ranks in Top 10 Nationally for Social Mobility

California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) has been ranked 10th in the CollegeNET, Inc., 2020 Social Mobility Index (SMI), a significant advancement from last year’s ranking of 20th in this annual assessment of institutions or higher education across the nation. CollegeNET used data-driven analysis to rank 1,449 four-year colleges and universities according to how effectively they enroll students from low-income backgrounds, and graduate them into well-paying jobs. A university’s ranking is based on five variables, tuition, student economic background, graduation rates, early career salary, and university endowment, although the variables are not weighted equally.
