An online program in the College of Extended and International Education that provides industry professionals with a certificate in production and inventory management won the 2010 Education Award of Excellence from the Association for Operations Management (APICS) at the organization's annual conference last October. California State University, Dominguez Hills shares the award with program partners LA APICS and Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems (NGAS), which subsidizes the 20-month course as professional development. SEED of Change: Health Professionals from Latin Countries to Study at CSU Dominguez Hills
A grant from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has been awarded to the California State University, Dominguez Hills College of Extended & International Education (CEE) to train nurses and other health professionals from the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico and Nicaragua. The scholars are awardees of the Scholarships for Education and Economic Development (SEED) program administered by the Center for Intercultural Education and Development at Georgetown University.
