California State University President Willie J. Hagan has been selected to participate in a College Affordability Roundtable between U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan and presidents and chancellors of universities and community colleges across the nation.
The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) is hosting the private meeting on Oct. 25 during its annual conference taking place in Chicago. The 13 leaders meeting with Duncan are all HACU members and from federally designated Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs). They will be meeting with Duncan to discuss President Barack Obama’s higher education agenda and how to achieve the president’s goal to make college more affordable.
