Willie J. Hagan, who will retire as president of California State University, Dominguez Hills following the university’s 2018 Commencement on May 18-19, was honored with an Assembly Resolution on March 8 by the California Legislature to “extend special public recognition and commendations to him for his professional and civic leadership.” The resolution pays tribute to Hagan’s six years as CSUDH’s 10th president and four decades of service in higher education.
Among the achievements written into “Members Resolution No. 415,” Hagan is recognized for his commitment to the advancement of higher learning and community growth; his devotion to numerous community causes and organizations; and his implementation of “comprehensive initiatives that have solidified the university’s national standing as a leading urban institution.”
