Willie Hagan Appointed Interim President of CSU Dominguez Hills
Willie Hagan, interim president of California State University, Fullerton, has been named as interim president of California State University, Dominguez Hills effective June 11. Hagan, 61, has served in various senior leadership positions at Fullerton during his 16 year tenure at the campus, including serving as vice president for administration and chief financial officer. On Tuesday, April 3, California State University, Dominguez Hills hosted the first meeting outside of Washington D.C. of the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanics President's Advisory Commission, on which University President Mildred García sits. Two faculty members and their colleagues were honored during the 2012 Annual Faculty Awards Reception on March 15 which was held in the South Wing of the University Library. Upon the recommendation of the Faculty Leaves and Honors Committee, University President Mildred García presented Cyril “Ed” Zoerner, professor and chair of the English department, with the Lyle E. Gibson Dominguez Hills Distinguished Teacher Award, and Carl Sneed, associate professor of the psychology department, with the Excellence in Research, Scholarship and Creative Activity Award.
