A third-grade girl in an Anderson Elementary School uniform looks excited yet a little apprehensive as she takes her turn swinging at the ball perched on top of a batting tee. She chokes up high on the bat, takes aim. It's a swing and a miss. “That's okay,” says Kevin Lugo, a kinesiology major who plays first base for California State University, Dominguez Hills' (CSUDH) baseball team. “Try again.” He places another ball on the tee. Strategic Plan Town Hall Provides Campus Feedback Opportunity
California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) faculty, staff and students joined campus administrators on Sept. 22 for a town hall meeting to discuss the first draft of the university's 2014-2020 Strategic Plan and provide feedback for the plan's final development stages. The approximately 200 attendees who gathered in the Loker Student Union Ballroom were encouraged to provide both verbal comments and weigh in through text messages and online polling that measured the priority of each goal's objectives and strategies. California State University, Dominguez Hills President, Associated Students Inc., President Chris Fernandez, and ASI Board of Directors Lily Yang, Jessica Rodriguez and Oliver Baquiax were called out by former ASI President Gavin Centeno to take the Ice Bucket Challenge. In honor of all the families that are affected by Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (commonly known as ALS), especially those who are part of the CSUDH family, they accepted the challenge and made a donation to the ALS Association.
