Antoine Flint, who serves as an assistant for the Library's Cataloging Services, represents the most enduring term honored at the Sept. 26 event. On the 113th day of his permanent appointment by the California State University Board of Trustees as president of CSU Dominguez Hills, Willie J. Hagan welcomed faculty, staff–several of whom are recent additions–and students to the campus during the annual fall convocation. In April, the California State University announced the establishment of the CSU “Campus as a Living Lab” grant program to fund innovative classroom sustainability projects that merge academics and facilities management to provide students with high impact, hands-on learning. Sometimes it's dramatic and heroic measures that go into saving a life, but sometimes it's simply the choices one makes. For Pedro Valles, it was his decision to alter the path he was on and join the military that saved his life and led to him graduating from California State University, Dominguez Hills with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Technology with an emphasis in homeland security this past weekend.
