Last April at the Earth Day celebration on campus, Mardel Baldwin and members of Associated Students, Inc. (ASI), handed out 750 refillable aluminum water bottles to encourage the use of a filtered water dispenser that had been recently installed in the Loker Student Union (LSU). “Wrapped in Pride” Exhibition of African Kente Cloth to Show in University Art Gallery Sept. 7-Oct. 18
The brightly colored, geometrically patterned cloth called kente–made by the Asante (uh SAHN tee) people of Ghana and the Ewe (AY vay) people of Ghana and Togo–is the best known of all African textiles. $1 Million Gift from Annenberg Foundation Will Fund First Endowed Professorship
California State University, Dominguez Hills President Mildred García announced today a $1 million gift from the Annenberg Foundation to establish the university's first endowed professorship. Nursing Clinical Skills Lab Receives Gift from Providence Little Company of Mary
The nursing clinical skills lab at California State University, Dominguez Hills received a $30,000 gift from Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center in Torrance. The donation of a defibrillator and consumable supplies such as bedding, face masks, catheters, and other items will help provide a professional level training environment for students in the Master's Entry-level Professional Nursing (MEPN) Program.
