Michael Reodica, a business administration major at California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH), didn't have to jump through hoops to land his new gig as an intern for the Los Angeles Clippers, but it wasn't exactly a slam dunk either. Toro Guardian Scholars program receives $40k from Pritzker Foster Care Initiative
California State University, Dominguez Hills' (CSUDH) Toro Guardian Scholars (TGS) program has received a $40,000 grant from the Pritzker Foster Care Initiative to enhance its ability to connect former foster youth at the university to additional support services, new programs and increased guidance. When California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) alumnus David Turner, III, went to a forum on college affordability in Nashville, Tenn., and posed questions regarding how underrepresented students such as himself fit into the equation, he was a bit astonished to find his inquires dismissed by the panel. Dear Campus Community, It is with great sadness I write to inform you that two of our students, Mr. Joseph Labori and Ms. Vanessa Carrisoza, both in their second year at CSU Dominguez Hills, died Tuesday night in Torrance when their car was struck head-on by another vehicle. The University has been in contact with the families this morning to extend condolences and to offer assistance in their time of need. The families currently are finalizing plans for a joint memorial service and we will update the campus as details become available.
