Most of the five award winners shed a tear or two at California State University, Dominguez Hills' (CSUDH) 2016 Annual Faculty Awards Reception as they shared heartfelt memories and gratitude for the colleagues, students and family members who have helped contributed to their success as educators. During the reception, which took place March 25 in the Loker Student Union ballroom, the award recipients were celebrated for their excellence in teaching, outstanding achievement, and the creative ways they engage students. “Envisioning Transformation,” a two-day academic symposium that featured talks by nationally-recognized educators from Los Angeles County, explored ways for communities of color to come together to create social justice and harmony through resolute coalitions and transformative action. CSUDH receives $260,000 NEH Grant to Continue Work Digitalizing Japanese-American History
California State University, Dominguez Hills' (CSUDH) Archives and Special Collections Department has received $260,000 from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) to continue its work digitalizing artifacts that detail life for Japanese Americans held in internment camps during World War II, and daily life during the first half of the 20th Century.
