California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) has received an $8,000 grant from the Pasadena Art Alliance to support a culmination art exhibition of CSUDH's Praxis Studio, a year-long extracurricular, cross-disciplinary arts and design program that explores community through socially engaged artistic expression. The university is one of 34 Southern California arts organizations, nonprofits and educational institutions selected by the Pasadena Art Alliance for its 2017 grant cycle. The Toyota USA Foundation is giving Cal State Dominguez Hills $4 million to build a science center focused on preparing students for careers in technology, engineering and math.
