Three California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) professors have been recognized by California State University (CSU) with the 2018-19 Faculty Innovation and Leadership Award for their commitment to student success. The CSU has honored Professor of Communications Nancy Cheever, Professor of Psychology L. Mark Carrier, and Emeritus Professor of Psychology Larry Rosen for their collective research and mentorship of undergraduate and graduate students in the area of applied cognitive psychology. Science and Innovation Building on Schedule for Fall 2020 Opening
With numerous complex stages of implementation, construction on a building as technically advanced and educationally accommodating as California State University, Dominguez Hills' (CSUDH) Science and Innovation Building takes time, as well as the patience of those eager to teach and learn in it. Fortunately for all, construction on the $82 million, 91,000-square-foot instructional and research center is on schedule to be completed in October 2019. Faculty move-ins and tours for prospective freshmen will begin as early as spring 2020, with the building's official opening planned for fall 2020. President Parham Named Among L.A. County’s Most Influential
THOMAS A. PARHAM President California State University, Dominguez Hills Thomas Parham took office as president of Cal State Dominguez Hills in July, after serving as vice chancellor for student affairs and an adjunct faculty member at the University of California, Irvine. He was at UCI since 1985, and previously was on the faculty at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. The licensed psychologist served on the City of Irvine's Human Relations Committee, where he helped draft the city's first human rights ordinance, which was passed by the city council.
