On January 18, California State University, Dominguez Hills was named one of 45 California colleges and universities chosen to take part “Californians for All” College Corps, the largest state-level investment in a college service program in California history. In total, 16 CSU campuses were included in the historic $146 million investment in California's future leaders. The new service-based college opportunity program will provide up to 6,500 college students statewide with opportunities to serve in three key areas: K-12 education, climate action, food insecurity, and COVID-19 recovery. Fab Lab Teams with Toyota to Bring Dream Cars to Life
Students working in the fabrication labs in CSUDH's Center for Innovation in STEM Education (CISE) got an accelerated course in hands-on project management and design in 2021, when they partnered with Toyota USA for the company's annual Toyota Dream Car USA Art Contest. Each year, children between the ages of 4 and 15 enter the contest, drawing fantastical images that illustrate the car of their dreams.
