The vice chancellor for student affairs at UC Irvine will become the eighth permanent president of Cal State Dominguez Hills, the California State University Board of Trustees announced Wednesday. Thomas A. Parham will begin his new role in late June. Willie J. Donna Nicol, associate professor and chair of Africana Studies, arrived at CSUDH in fall 2017. As a faculty member, she teaches Comparative Ethnic and Global Societies. Dominguez Poll Finds Positive Views on Immigration
(Carson, CA) - The Dominguez Poll, a survey undertaken by California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) and its Urban Community Research Center to gauge the opinions of residents within the university's service area on a variety of national topics, found that approximately 7 out of 10 respondents believe immigration has a positive effect on the United States. A total of 384 survey responses were collected, a statistically valid sampling to a 95 percent confidence level with a +/- 2.5 percent margin of error.
