(Carson, CA) - California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) signed a historic agreement with the Mayme A. Clayton Library and Museum (MCLM) board of directors to house the Mayme A. Clayton Collection of African American History and Culture on campus in the Gerth Archives and Special Collections. The university intends to begin immediately cataloguing and archiving the collection so that it is more visible and accessible to the public. President Parham Announces Formation of Racial Reconciliation Task Force
In light of the ongoing protests and resulting nationwide conversations about racism in America, CSUDH President Thomas A. Parham announced the formation of a Racial Reconciliation Task Force in an email to the campus community. Exhibition Explores ‘100 Years of the Women’s Vote’
The passage and ratification of the 19th Amendment in 1920 ended a nearly century-long battle for the right for women to vote. In recognition of those early activists and reformers, and those carrying the torch today, CSUDH students have honored their lives and legacy with the online exhibition “100 Years of the Women's Vote.” Presented by the Donald R. & Beverly J. Toro Food Pantry Continues to Feed Students in Need
With donations from faculty, staff, and community partners, the Toro Food Pantry at California State University, Dominguez Hills continues to distribute food to students in need during the COVID-19 pandemic. The bags of food are safely dispensed to students in their cars. They include fresh "Farm Box" produce from the Farmers Market, and prepackaged healthy meals from Everytable, which opened a takeout location in the Loker Student Union in fall 2019.
