CSUDH is New Home of Extensive Archival Library on Labor History
(Carson, CA) - The California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) Gerth Archives and Special Collections has acquired the vast Holt Labor Library - along with a donation of $200,000 to catalog and maintain the artifacts from the library's founder, Apple Inc.'s fifth employee, Rod Holt. With the drop of a rainbow-colored ribbon and applause from a lively crowd of supporters, California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) officially opened the Queer Culture and Resource Center (QCRC) on April 11. Located off the West Walkway next to the DH Sports Lounge's busy patio, the resource center has already begun to fulfill one of its primary goals: to provide a visible and welcoming space for students who historically have not been well recognized on university campuses. Male Success Alliance Celebrates 10 Years of Empowering Students of Color
(Carson, Calif.) California State University, Dominguez Hills' (CSUDH) innovative Male Success Alliance (MSA) program is celebrating its 10th anniversary. The first of its kind in California to address retention and graduation rates among male college students, and high school dropout rates and access to higher education for boys of color, the MSA has garnered accolades and the funding to help develop similar programs statewide.
