Addressing the importance of getting involved on campus and strategically navigating their academic careers, CSU Dominguez Hills' deans, administrators, alumni and special guests joined President Willie J. Hagan during the university's first Freshman Convocation on Sept. 5 to officially welcome the Freshman Class of 2014. Approximately 1,000 of the university's first-year freshmen filled the bleachers of the StubHub Center Tennis Stadium, the same location where with time, dedication and support from the university they will cross the stage to accept their diplomas. CSUDH Accepts ALS Ice Bucket Challenge
California State University, Dominguez Hills President, Associated Students Inc., President Chris Fernandez, and ASI Board of Directors Lily Yang, Jessica Rodriguez and Oliver Baquiax were called out by former ASI President Gavin Centeno to take the Ice Bucket Challenge. In honor of all the families that are affected by Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (commonly known as ALS), especially those who are part of the CSUDH family, they accepted the challenge and made a donation to the ALS Association. University Cuts Ribbon on New Toro Student Computer Lab
Surrounded by ample new computers, work stations and “comfy chairs,” CSU Dominguez Hills President Willie J. Class of 2014 Builds on its Legacy with the Gift of Good Health
They may have moved on to the next chapter in their lives, but today the CSU Dominguez Hills' Class of 2014 added to its legacy with a $2,939 Senior Class Gift of good health for the students, faculty and staff who work out in the university's fitness center. The gift will be used to purchase new treadmills to replace some of the aging ones currently in the center. Alumnus and former Associated Students, Inc.
